i have 2 of these strapped together pushing my 2 15" kicker L7 2ohm dvc
pros:
*affordable
*they aren't massive in size compared to "some" other higher priced amplifiers
*easily adjusted
*plenty of power: (RMS) 3.5kw@1ohm, 2.5kw@2ohm, 1.8kw@4ohm
cons:
*car needs a decent alternator+batteries to keep up
*they get "pretty warm" in my torture tests but "not hot"
other things you should keep in mind:
i may be wrong, but here is my basic math to figure the power requirements of the alternator.
lets use the rms wattage for a 2ohm single channel setup for one of these AC5000.1D's.
2,500/12=208.333... simply divide the required wattage by the voltage the system runs on to get the required amperage.
if you cant afford a good alternator you better invest in some very good deep cycle batteries and capacitors.
dont forget to also invest in some good wiring too. solid copper 0gauge if you can.
*UPDATE*
so i have had these for about 4 months now and have had an issue with one amp going rogue. it began to smoke so i turned off my car, and to my surprise it continued to draw power from the battery. i had to literally rip the positive wire from the terminal to get it to stop! i sent an email to Planet Audio and they still haven't replied in over a week! i don't care for an RMA i just wanted to warn them that this amplifier shorted and nearly caught my car on fire. i even took pictures of their product so they could figure out if it was an isolated incident. but instead they chose to ignore me. ill be sure to post pictures of the faulty units on here so others can see.

For those of you that is wondering how good this amp will do, well look no further for price per watts, this thing is a beast if u are gonna run any subs that are rated under 2000 watts rms, i have it on 2 JL W6V2 wired down to 1ohm and it is surprisingly amazing what this amp is capable of, planet audio's wattage ratings are not what they say, but i can guarantee you will pull anything from 1500 to 2000 watts rms out of this thing at a 1ohm load, by the way might wanna grab a farad cap or do the big 3 cuz this things will suck the crap out of ur electrical system, i was very very skeptical about the anarchy lines, did research for days, forums after forums and finally said screw this i'm gonna take the risk and purchased it and it did the job with no flaws, very satisfied that i did not spend 500 bucks or more on a higher brand that will do the same or less.

I bought this amp to power two 10" Solo Xs, well this amp found a way to pump out 2500watts rms to each without overheating. Overall this amp is awesome.
