Instead, we apply our no-nonsense, pure performance philosophy to specify oversized output transistors and rugged MOSFET power supplies that ensure ample current and thermal capacity. These beefy parts operate well under their limits to deliver stable performance and vastly better reliability than the wimpy devices commonly found in many competing products. It all adds up to solid bass definition and cleaner, louder high frequency output that gets the most out of your speaker system. To get your system dialed in just right, we also include flexible signal processing capabilities with fully variable crossover filters, pass-through preamp outputs and a Bass EQ. The monoblock models also include a port for an optional Remote Level Control. Active Crossover Features Fully variable 12dB/octave filters controls offer excellent tuning flexibility. Remote Bass Level Monoblock models also feature the ability to control the bass level from the front seat with an optional RBC-1 Controller (sold separately). Hi-Level & Low-Level Inputs JX amplifiers have both Hi-Level (speaker level) and Low-Level (pre-amp level) inputs for maximum installation flexibility. Class D Amplifier Circuit The JX1000/1D employs an advanced Class D switching design that allows it to produce 1 kilowatt of clean subwoofer power while drawing significantly less current from your electrical system and generating less heat than a conventional Class A/B or Class B design. I bought this amp to power my 12" JL W3 V2. It took me a while to get it tuned in, but the sub sounds amazing. If you buy this and find that you aren't getting any output from you sub, but everything else checks out, try turning the input sensitivity up just a bit. I had this problem with mine; also if you purchase the remote level control, make sure to tune your amp with this UNPLUGGED. I had to call JL tech support a few times before I figured out what the problem was, but they were very helpful. I highly recommend this amp!

I recently bought this amplifier and have to say, i will always and forever be a firm supporter of JL Audio. This little amp is powering a JL Audio 12W3 Subwoofer (12") and it sounds great, it added enough "umph" so make it hit hard and i actually had to dial it back a little bit so it wasn't being pushed harder than it should be (distortion). If you are in doubt at all about spending the little bit of extra money for this amp, DO IT!!! you will not regret it. I have had 2 audio systems that were fully JL audio based and i will never buy anything else because of how reliable and quality their products are. (i might buy some door speakers from someone else though, THAT is where these guys are expensive ;) )
