By Plumps
This company has the best customer service I have ever had.
I hooked up a Pioneer TS-W3002D4 12 In. Champion Series PRO Subwoofer into the Atrend E12Sv B Box Series 12-Inch Single Vented Subwoofer Enclosure, and I wired the subwoofer for 2ohms. After I hooked everything up and tested the lines, I was getting barely any output from the subwoofer. I was frustrated because I couldn't see where the problem was coming from, and I just ended up thinking my power wiring was insufficient or the amp was bad.
So, I finally called MAXXSONICS, the company that makes this amp. The phone didn't even ring once and a HUMAN picked up and said "hello". Past that, I asked for the technical support department, and the dude said "I can help you with that." Seriously, how crazy is that. One ring, person picks up, and he can help me with anything I need. That dudes name was Armando, and Armando is a sauce boss. He stayed on the line with me for at least 20-30 minutes, fixed my problem, and even had me play music while he listened over the phone to help me set my EQ settings right. I would have paid for service like that.
Anyway, I had a Clarion CX501 head-unit, and he said my levels weren't right for the voltage output from the head-units RCAs. So, just for the off chance you have the same subwoofer, box, and head unit (as Amazon does recommend this stuff together) here are the settings that made my hatchback rattle:
The settings are based on a clock face:
Level: 1:30
Bass: 1:30
Subsonic: 1
Low: 12
If you have any problems with this beast, call: 847-540-7700 and get Armando's extension: 127. That dude will hook you up. Lastly, that Atrend E12Sv ported box seems like a good idea, but do yourself a favor and get a sealed box if you get the pioneer champion speaker. The port-noise will fart all over anything but rap music.
